Just before we dive into their food menu, I would like to show you the dining area.
The interior design and decoration of the restaurant truly portrays the essence of Japanese culture - minimalist and harmony.
There are three dining sections:
- One which is facing the swimming pool, beside the floor to ceiling window;
- One which is facing the kitchen, where you can watch the chef as he cooks;
- One which is an enclosed dining area, specially caters for private meetings and events.
Preferably I would choose to sit just right in front of the Teppan and watch the chef as he prepares the dishes. That's like the "hot seats" whenever one visits a Teppanyaki restaurant, right?
Psst, do you know? 🤓
Teppanyaki (鉄板焼き) is a post–World War II style of Japanese cuisine.
The world "teppan-yaki" is derived from two Japanese words: "Teppan" means the metal plate, also known as the iron griddle that the chef uses to cook food; "Yaki" which literally means grilled, broiled, or pan-fried - hence self-explaining the style of cooking.
Let's see what are on their menu, shall we? 😃
Teppan Table Lunch Set Menu |
Currently they have specially priced set Teppanyaki which is exquisitely prepared by Head Chef Jimmy Lo. There are four (4) mains selections to choose from: chicken, salmon, cod fish and beef. All sets come with Miso soup, Steamed Rice, Agedashi Tofu (Fried Tofu) and Seasonal Japanese Salad.
At Teppan Table, they are strict on the selection of ingredients, only serving fresh and quality food.
As I have mentioned earlier, one of the perks of sitting right in front of the cooking table is to watch professional Japanese cuisine practitioner cooks. Somehow mentally I would find the food tastes better if I get to watch them cook right on the spot. Do you feel the same too? (heh) 😁

These close-up shots might got you drooling... 🤤🤤🤤
In about 20 to 25 minutes, lunch is served and it's hot! The plating is definitely worth the mention - sequence of the elements, careful colour selection and toppings that compliment the mains - all components are in place - elevating customers' appetite.
The mains will then be served together with sides on a rectangular serving plate (as below).
Teppan Beef Set - RM88 nett
Grilled Australian Beef Tenderloin, cooked medium to well.
Topped with fried garlic.
Beautiful meat colour gradient. Juicy and chewy texture.
Bringing Beef Teppanyaki to the next level.
Teppan Cod Fish Set - RM78 nett
Grilled Cod Fish, topped with fish roe.
Juicy white fish meat, full with natural seawater collagen.
The salt and pepper seasoning truly brings out the original flavour of cod fish.
For better taste, consume together with the seasoned fish roe.
Teppan Salmon Set - RM68 nett
Grilled Salmon Trout served with crispy fish skin and topped with Salmon fish roe.
I must say, Salmon is my ultimate go-to meat when dining in a Japanese restaurant,
so I'm definitely bias when it comes to Salmon (although I prefer it served raw).
What more it's topped with the pop-satisfying Salmon fish roe! Awesome.
Teppan Chicken Set - RM58 nett
Grilled chicken topped with fried garlic.
I must say, the chicken meat is grilled to perfection
when its juicy inside and golden brown outside.
And quite big portion too.
Which again proves that, cooking technique plays an important role in serving a mouth-watering dish.
The lunch set also comes with a scoop of Mochi ice-cream. You can choose from four (4) flavours: Green tea, Vanilla, Chocolate and Strawberry.
Can't possibly miss Green Tea when you're at a Japanese restaurant, right? Look how cute is that! 😍
Mochi-skin with green tea ice-cream inside. Yummmmm!!! Can I have some more? 😋
Overall, I really enjoyed the dining experience here at Teppan Table. In spite the chef is cooking just right in front of me, I don't smell like a "BBQ human" after that. Food and service were up to 5-star, in par as a in-house restaurant.
If you are thinking to treat yourself a good teppanyaki during lunch break, this can be a good option.
*Limited time offer.
