If you have been following my posting, you can tell that I rarely share base makeup, like foundation, BB cream or primer. No particular reason - it's so happened.
So whenever you saw I post about face makeup, it is surely a product that worth mentioning.
Today I will be reviewing a cushion foundation from Moonshot. I don't know about you, but I am super excited to get my hands on this product!!

Let's take a look at the so-called Blackpink Lisa's favourite cushion foundation. Does it have what it takes?

What is this product?
It is a cushion foundation with satin-finished.
Moonshot is a Korean cosmetic brand. You probably know this brand through Blackpink as currently they are the brand ambassador.
What are the functions / product description?
- High setting power - Ultra light Microfit cushion formula that won't cake or crease;
- Above average fixing power - long wearing and buildable formula;
- Cooling effect - contains aqualicia extract to hydrate the skin.
Packaging
Just like what you can expect from the brand name "Moonshot", the packaging is revolving around the galaxy theme.
At the bottom of the box packaging it warns us to...
- Be aware of aliens
- Be aware of black holes
- Be aware of space ships
Omgeee so adorkable!
Once opened the box packaging, you will find the cushion foundation in gorgeous holographic cover and sleek black case. I'm already in love with the product. Definitely keeping it for the vanity goal.
The next element that surprises me was the sponge / applicator. Unlike the usual shape, the sponge appears in a teardrop-shape. The pointy tip is surely handy to get to the hard-to-reach nooks and crannies.
Shades, Texture and Scent
Currently, the Micro Settingfit Cushion is available in three shades – #101 (Ivory), #201 (Beige) and #301 (Honey).

Remove the safety seal before usage.
Once the cushion dries, it appears slightly yellowish or darker on the skin. Usually I will go for shade #21, and here I find the #201 settles to a shade that matches my natural skin tone more accurately.
The texture is very light and cooling once applied on the skin. Later it dries down to a satin smooth-finish, just between matte-finish and glowy-finish.
Nevertheless, its coverage is certainly not compromised. I find it very effective in covering redness (around the nose area), dark circles (under eye ares), acne scars and minor blemishes.
There is a powdery-perfume scent to it. It is very mild and pleasant. Smells like a high-end cosmetics (heh).
Application
To use, dip the sponge applicator into the foundation-filled cushion.
Apply the formula on the face in dabbing motion. This way the foundation will adhere better on skin.
Here's how it looks like before and after applying Moonshot's Micro Settingfit Cushion.
Notice my dark circles and redness around my nose have significantly blurred out.
Although it couldn't cover the freckles on the cheek and bulging acne scars on the chin, the blemishes are less visible after applying the cushion foundation.
Personal Experience
Ever since I started to use this Micro Settingfit Cushion, I'm hooked! Why? Because it has above average coverage for a cushion foundation per say. Very convenient for on-the-go.
I wore it to work and surprisingly the coverage is still intact even after a good 9 hours. Especially obsessed with it satin-finish and my-skin-but-better natural shade.
The upgraded teardrop cushion puff is cushion-y which is excellent in creating fitting and smooth makeup base.
Now I can fully understand why Lisa and so many more recommended this cushion foundation. You will never know until you tried it yourself. :)
