Kotobian tadau tagazo do kaamatan, everyone! :)
It means "Happy Harvest Day" in local language.
Harvest Day Festival happens on every 30th and 31st of May.
Particularly, this festival is widely celebrate across Sabah by our native friends.
The highlight of the event?
Besides the annual pageant beauty event in choosing the next Unduk Ngadau
(literally means the girl crowned by sunlight),
the next exciting event will be the Kaamatan Bazaar which held in KDCA compound.
Shall we check out the food stalls featuring in the bazaar this year?
Let's GO!
KDCA is short for "Kadazandusun Cultural Association Sabah",
a non-political association that represents 40 indigenous ethnic communities of Sabah.
Today I'm here with food Youtuber Chak Yan (left) and Wei Hong (right).
(I'm linking their Instagram profiles here, so you can check'em out!)

Without further ado, let's see what do we have here at KDCA this year.
Side note: The last time I attended this yearly event was 3 years ago... :')
This stall sells traditional BBQ pork in Bamboo caught our eyes right away!
This traditional way of cooking is not easy to find elsewhere,
so we just had to give it a try.
This stall with various of pork dishes on stick looks interesting.
(From left to right) Taiwan pork sausage, pork satay, lolipop pork satay.
Get'em all! :
This stall offers Chinese Filippino cuisine,
and true enough, you can find crispy pata (pork leg) here!
But we are getting the homemade pork sausage instead.
Save the leg for next visit. Hahaha
There are so many other food stalls here...
Mostly selling BBQ pork and lamb... With cherry tomatoes or black pepper base.
Slurrrrpppp
Not forget to mention on the beer and karaoke stalls.
After all, it's an event to celebrate good harvest, isn't it?
Aramaiti!!! ("cheers" in local language)
Once you're here at KDCA,
don't miss out to visit the infrastructure within the compound.
Usually they require entrance fee,
however the compound is open for public during this period.
It's like a museum.
There are model traditional houses of the natives.
Walk around and get to know a little more about our friendly locals.
Check out the full vlog now on Chak Yan's Youtube channel.
That's all for now.
Chak Yan and Wei Hong, thanks for having me today!
It was a fun experience to do vlog together. :D
May I know when and where this event will be held?
