There are tons of Korean beauty brands out there and it can be overwhelming for those who just started. " Which brand is reliable? What is the brand's best seller? Where can I get them? Who should I ask for opinion?" etc. Trust me, I can totally relate to that.

Let's start with what we have in Malaysia. Here are the TOP 5 Korean beauty road shop brands that you can find here in Malaysia.

I'm sure you have seen a pinky-princess beauty concept stores before. It's lively and girly concept has definitely capture the hearts of many teenage girls and women in their twenties.

Their products range from cosmetics (makeup base, foundation, lip products, eyeshadow, brow pencil and etc.) to skincare. My Korean friend told me that this brand is particular popular for its single eyeshadow. Unfortunately we do not see single eyeshadow on the selling shelves here in Malaysia (update as of 19th April 2019 - single eyeshadows are available in Malaysia YAY!).

One of my very first skincare product from Etude House is the Skin Mal:gem Moist. I no longer using this emulsion; nonetheless, it was good for teenagers who just started on skincare regime.

I only came across this brand rather late, around early 20s. From the outlook, it looks intimidating and I thought its products must be of my higher reach. I was wrong.

In fact, MISSHA is known as the front-runner of Korean road shops. It's inevitable to not talk about its famous base makeup products. For instance, their BB cream has high coverage, smooth-silky finish (almost like our own skin) without losing the high-end touch. No wonder the product is loved by many people.

The two MISSHA products which I wish to introduce to you are the BB cream and 4D mascara. Never go wrong for any occasion.

If you are a hard-core K-pop fan, you must have came across this brand as many K-pop artists have been their brand ambassadors throughout the years. From Kim Hyun Joong, Suzy, Kim Soo Hyun,  f(x)'s Krystal to GOT7, the brand never fails to bring us fresh faces.

THE FACE SHOP offers a wide range of products, from skincare, makeup to body products. The products are considered inexpensive, so it is widely popular among teenagers and young working adults. Besides, there's a chance of getting limited edition of your favourite K-pop idol(s) brand merchandises upon purchase. (what a thrill!)

Bought my very first skincare set from The Face Shop back in university days. That was their Raspberry Roots series. I remember me liking the Raspberry Eye Gel. That was my first eye care product. And ever since, I got the habit of applying eye cream.

Although I didn't repurchase the set, I still have special feeling towards the brand (similar feeling as first love?). After that, I did tried on their makeup remover, daily foam cleanser, color correcting primer, blusher and so on. Personally, I love their Air Cotton Makeup Base (in purple) because of its excellent skin tone-up effect - and super affordable too!

When we talk about Innisfree, it's almost automatic to link the brand to greenery and Jeju island. This is because the brand formulates their products using natural ingredient from Jeju island.

Their product range from skincare, makeup to body products - catering to customers from teenagers to adults - men and women. Definitely a family-friendly brand, I would say. Specifically, their Green Tea Serum from the green tea series is very popular among the bloggers community.

Having said that it's clean and natural image has imprinted in their customers mind, the brand also helps raise awareness to clean and sustainable environment by launching the "empty bottle recycling program". If you have emptied the products, don't throw them just yet. Clean the bottle and bring it to the physical store - get accumulate-able points for that!
