Check In Four Points by Sheraton, Sandakan
This 4-star hotel is undoubtedly one of the top picks in Sandakan. Four Points by Sheraton Sandakan is located in town centre, next to Sandakan Harbour Mall. The property is also right beside the seaside, which has the best view of the Sandakan Bay and Sulu Sea.
- Address : Harbour Square, 90000 Sandakan.
- Phone : 089-244 888
We made our reservation via Booking.com and it's super easy. Payment is made at the property. It was RM244.30 per room per night.
Once we set foot in the building, Bambi and a cart-full of presents are waiting for us! Or I mean, they decided to spend the Christine there. (heh)
In order to reach the reception lobby, you will have to either go by escalator (as below) or lift.
The reception counter is at your left.
Welcome drink bar is available and it's self-service.
On the other side of the escalator, there is an open area lounge with sea view. Also, there is a very professional pianist to entertain us! It is non-other than player piano (also known as pianola). It is a self-playing piano (as below). Interesting indeed! :D
I really enjoy the ambiance here, especially with the grand piano playing at the background.
As mentioned earlier, the hotel is connected to Sandakan Harbour Mall, you can directly walk into the shopping mall through this shortcut (as below). The door is located next to the reception desk and it closes at 9PM (same time as the shopping mall closes).
Say you're more about nature and adventure, you can inquire the customer desk for local tour, or even ask them about Bilit Rainforest Lodge. I heard this lodge is built from local hardwood and surrounded by tropical greenery.
Let's move on to our room! :)
I'm sharing with my sister. Our room has two super single beds and it's really comfortable as you imagine!
We were given complimentary 2 bottles of drinking water each day. You may request for extra if you think it's not enough. They didn't charge us for that, which is very kind of them. Thank you :)
You know what I'm most concern while staying in a hotel? The toilet (of course!). And it looks clean and well-maintained as I expected. Lovely.
We are staying at 17-floor. The sea view from our room is spectacular!
Oh yes, don't forget this hotel has an infinity pool. Let's check it out!
If you're not swimming (like us), you can enjoy the sea breeze and view from here.
I gotta say, you can take as many pictures as you like because everywhere is an art. Even at the lift lobby (hahaha).
Make sure you follow my footsteps in Sandakan by clicking the next post! ;)
