[Review] Lilybyred - Mood Liar Velvet Tint 02 단아한 감귤인척 (Citrus) & 03 청초한 살구인척 (Apricot)

Quick fun fact. I am REALLY obsessed with lip products. Currently I have around 40+ lip products although I do reckon that I don't need so much of them. In reality, I barely apply lipstick. If you didn't know, now you know. :')

Today I am going to share with you not one, but two lip tints from the 2018 hottest online K-beauty brand - Lilybyred.

Lilybyred started as a K-beauty brand that sells their products online without having physical store or beauty counter. The brand expands rapidly during the year, and now they have beauty counters being set up at Olive Young across South Korea.

The brand really got the beauty industry's attention when introducing its Mood Liar Velvet Tint line. Their promotional ad was so mesmerizing! Featuring Kwon Hyun Bin.

I got the products during 1+1 event on Gmarket and it is totally worth it!

First thing first, can we just take a moment to admire its packaging? Black pink, perfect match. Minimalist is totally my thang!

It comes with an attached-slanted applicator, which comes in very handy on application.

Right I'm just gonna jump into the swatches, because I know that's what the whole point of this review (heh) :D

The color payoff is SUPERB!! Just 1 to 2 swipes you can get the exact color as promised. Effortlessly.

The formula is velvety the moment you apply it, and quickly dries down to matte finish. I can almost feel the formula is drying down and wraps my lip firmly. Like being inked. *Note: It might cause some irritation for those who have sensitive and thin lips.

(Above, right) The stain left behind after I rubbed it off with facial tissue. You see that??? OMGEEEEE!!!!!

Next I'm going to run over the stain with running water (below). OMGEEEEE the lip tint stain is 1000% legit!

#02 단아한 감귤인척 (Citrus)

This orangy-red hue is definitely a lip-statement. It gives strong impression. Preferably going full force, full makeup. Keep the base as clean as possible. Mainly highlighting the eyes and lips. Here I'm matching it with simple burgundy eye makeup, to achieve that cold-breezy autumn look.

#03 청초한 살구인척 (Apricot)

In particular, this packaging doesn't reflect the actual shade. I know it must be confusing to many. Here I'm playing around with orangy-brown eye makeup and this muted-maroon shade, to complete the mysterious-cool makeup look. If you're feeling adventurous, go for full lip. Also, I'm going bold with contouring. Blending powder blush with face contour is a good tip which I've just learned!

The brand is really living up to its product acclamation. I'm totally living for their lip tints because they are SO GOOOOD!! My lips won't look so bare even after having meals (so I can skip re-application hehe).

Considering its excellent performance and price affordability, I don't see why not giving it a try (if you're a big lippie lover).

Since the formula offers matte-velvet finish, do bear in mind that it might be drying on the lips. In this case, perhaps you may consider to apply lip balm beforehand. It might do the trick.
