[Review] Jayjun Cosmetic - Honey Dew Green Mask & Honey Dew Purple Mask + First Impression

I haven't try much products from Jayjun Cosmetic, but I am already in love with its Baby Pure Shining Mask.

When I learned that Jayjun Cosmetic has launched new sheet masks this year, I was that close to send in my purchase on Gmarket. Wonder why it didn't happen at the end? The cheaper international shipping alternative - CJ Logistics has ceased their logistic service from South Korea to Malaysia. T.T

Finally purchased them from Watson while I was "forced" to layover at Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA2) due to unforeseen technical issue. Then they were having 40% discount on selected items, and Jayjun Cosmetics' sheet masks are one of them.

Honey Dew Green Mask

Why it is called "Green Mask"?

It contains 5 green complex / ingredients, namely green tea, kiwi, spinach, avocado and Japanese apricot.


What are these green ingredients for?

As claimed by Jayjun Cosmetic, the combination is able to calm, moisturize and brighten up overall skin complexion.


Moreover, Manuka honey and propolis are also included in this Honey Dew sheet mask series, which are rich in nutrition and antioxidant.

(I will share on my personal masking experience afterwards, together with Purple Mask.)

Honey Dew Purple Mask

You can guess it by now. Yes, it is called "Purple Mask" is because it contains 5 purple complex / ingredients - blueberry, plum, Shiso leaf, fig and beet.

These purple ingredients are known to restore skin elasticity, moisture and natural glow.

Interesting to mention, the essence is in light purple, resulting noticeable purple hue on the sheet mask (below). Same applies to the green mask; the sheet mask appears in light green once removed from the packet.

My first impressions on both sheet masks are quite similar. Not so much on its moisturizing effect, I actually noticed more on its nourishing feature - highly due to Manuka honey and propolis. And because of the reason, it will leave your skin sticky after masking for 20 - 30 minutes. Usually I don't do face wash with cleanser in the morning, but exception when I'm using these.

Particular, it has very strong alcohol / wine / grape scent, which you hardly missed. It smells super-chemical and artificial.

I glanced through its ingredient list and found "alcohol denat" which is top 10 on the list. Out of curiosity, I searched online and read that it is one of the bad alcohols which we are recommended to stay away from skincare. (source) Goshhh :s

So far these sheet masks didn't cause any irritation to my skin after 2 applications. Anyway, its pungent chemical smell and gauze-like sheet mask are already the reasons for me not-to repurchase.
