Hello everyone! :)
Speaking of traveling, would you rather to bring along sheet masks, or capsule sleeping masks?
Sheet masks are my go-to traveling items - easy to carry, less hassle when it comes to skincare routine. However, face it or not, sometimes the hotel air conditioner is too drying, and watery-essence type sheet masks just couldn't deliver the moisture my skin thirst for.
Lately just got my hands on the new formula White Dew Vita Capsule Sleeping Mask by Laneige, and I can't wait to share with you.
Interested to know my thoughts on this travel-friendly sleeping mask? Continue to read on. :)
If you have been following Laneige, probably you would know that they previously had White Plus Renew Capsule Sleeping Mask, but I heard the formula was being renewed, and hence we have White Dew Vita Capsule Sleeping Mask here, with advanced skin brightening formulation.
As you noticed, there are two (2) components: first is the capsule with cream-like sleeping mask in it; second is the Vita Powder in sachet.
I must confessed, one main reason in getting me to purchase this capsule sleeping mask was its packaging. Absolutely cuteness overload!!

Front vs Back
Well first thing first, peel off the seal on the capsule and you will find the cream-like sleeping mask inside (as below). The texture is in between gel and cream. Also, its scent reminds me quite of high-end powdery fragrance. Very subtle, not tingling for the nose.
Then take a sachet of Vita Powder and pour it into the capsule (as below). The Vita Powder is rather fine particle with no scent to it.
Use the spatula provided to mix the two components thoroughly. I would suggest you to pour the Vita Powder a little bit at a time and mix them in stages. This will definitely easier to mix the mixture well rather than all at one go.
You can see the texture of the mixture as below. The sleeping mask looks whiter than before, after adding Vita Powder into it. The texture is creamier too. One scoop of the sleeping mask can goes a long way. Undeniably, very moisturizing.
For my case, I couldn't finish a capsule of sleeping mask at one time. The amount is good for two persons. What I would do is either to keep the other half of it for the next day, or to share with a buddy. For instance, my sister.
As I mentioned earlier, this capsule sleeping mask is really moisturizing, I really enjoyed using it while staying in hotels since sleeping in an air conditioning room is especially drying the skin.
Why I said so? Because I don't sleep in air conditioning room back in my house. So in usual days, I find this capsule sleeping mask a bit too thick and stuffy on my skin, especially Malaysia weather is hot and humid all year long.
Since it is a sleeping mask, use it as the last step of your night routine and wash it off the next day. You will find your skin soft and supple.
