Who would relate seafood to cafe?
This idea is mind-blowing!


Definitely thrilled to see that someone actually brought that into real life.


Read on and follow my footsteps to discover this secret gem in Tuaran.





- Address : Unnamed road, 9200 Tuaran, Sabah. Same junction as Sabah Gas Terminal.

You should spot these red container building once you make turn into the junction.
Not sure about what are these red containers for as they are currently closed for viewing.

Cafe / Restaurant Entrance

I can definitely tell that they are different from other cafes / restaurants by the outlook.

The premise is surrounded by greens and they try to maintain its original look as much possible.

The first thing you will spot on the left corner (entrance) is where they sell organic vegetables (harvest from their eco farm).

At one point, mum stopped me and showed me something which she is familiar in her young age.

Do you know what is that attached to the wall? (below)

Mum told me that electrical switch looks like that exactly in the old days.

How nostalgic.

I just love the view here.

The serenity.

I can imagine spending the whole afternoon here, chit-chatting or blogging.

The building we just walk passed is where the cafe located.

As we are here to have lunch, like a real meal,

the staff kindly leads us to an outdoor dining area just within walking distance.

Apparently the open-dining area is on the water.

They built a platform with shelter where you can enjoy the view while eating.

They even built a few VIP / private dining rooms to accommodate customers' request.

The ordering concept here is: choose your seafood preference (from their fresh stock) and choose your cooking preference.

Then they will cook accordingly.

Again the staff leads us to the "seafood boat" where we choose what we like for lunch.

Too overwhelming don't know how to choose?

We feel you too because that's what happened to us.

Don't worry, the staffs are ready to assist and give you menu suggestions.

Just let them know your preference, no. of people and budget.

Since they highly recommended their signature pumpkin juice (fresh from the farm),

it will be a missed if we don't give it a try.

- Pumpkin Juice -

It's very thick and creamy. Reminds me a lot of pumpkin soup actually. Only milky.

I'm not 100% sure that I love it. Definitely a good try.

- Nyonya Style Steamed Fish -

I must say, this is superb!!!

Surprisingly it is not spicy as it looks. Really.

The Nyonya-style sauce compliments the fresh fish meat nicely!

I just want more rice pleaseeee :9

- Buttermilk Prawn -

This is how 1/2 kg of prawn serving. Yasssss!

Creamy buttery sauce and meaty prawns... Love love love!

- Fried egg with farm long-beans -

Don't underestimate this dish, like seriously.

I'm not much of a "bean" person, but I enjoy this dish very much.

Look at the colour, I mean, isn't it appetizing?

One thing that annoys me is the flies.

Because it is an open-space dining area, the flies come freely here and there.

We made a compliant to the restaurant, 

so the staff lighted up candle in hoping to chase away the flies.

Does it help? Noooo. T.T

Perhaps it was too windy that day, the candle has no big effect.

Food wise, it was spotless. Love to the very last bite.

Environment wise 3/5.

I like the idea how they want to maintain a balance between nature and commerce.

The eco farm idea is pretty inspiring too.

Truly hope that they can find a resolution to the annoying flies. ><

It lowers down (greatly) on the overall dining experience.
