Free and easy on Pulau Perhentian
After checked-in to Pulau Perhentian Resort, we decided to explore this beautiful island.Look at this Tiffany-blue sea!!! It's just speechless. Words failed me (Korean expression of saying "speechless").
We were quite worried since it has been raining a lot recently, but thank God for good and clear weather!
Blue sky, clear water, white sand. Have we found the mysterious shangri-la? :p
Do check out more info on jungle trekking here.
Wild monkey spotted! |
Well, frankly speaking, we were totally not prepared for this 30 minutes jungle trekking. The truth is, we were all wearing slippers!!! Besides, both Emmy and I we were wearing long skirts!! No joke!
They only told us there is this jungle track we can follow to the other end of the island, but they didn't mention how long was it gonna take. And we clearly forgot to ask too. (Lesson learned.)
We should be glad that we made it all in one piece. Even our skirts. (heh) In the scale of 1 (easiest) to 10 (hardest), I would say it was 6. Definitely not a leisure jungle walk.
By the time we reached the other end, we knew it is no way we gonna walk back again using the same track.
That's when it left us with the only option : the water taxi.
Hang on, what is a water taxi BTW???
Water taxi |
Motor boat (or which they call "water taxi") is the most common water transport to travel between coast and islands.
Can you have a wild guess how much it costs for the ride back to Pulau Perhentian Resort? Hint: It is about 15 minutes ride.
The answer is: RM20 per pax.
Did you get that correctly? :) Yes, the fee is for one (1) person. And we managed to bargain the fee to RM70 for four (4) of us to get back to our resort.
Guys, please take many many nice photos! You know we count on you! :p |
Sea water do get into the boat, but it's alright. :') |
These are some awesome view along the island.
It was 4:30PM when we got back to Pulau Perhentian Resort.
How can we refuse the call of the sea?
"See the line where the sky meets the sea? It calls me.And no one knows, how far it goes.If the wind in my sail on the sea stays behind me.One day I'll know, if I go there's just no telling how far I'll go." - How Far I'll Go from movie <Moana>.
With no time wasted, we changed to leisure clothing and jumped into the sea. (Well... no exactly jump thou hahaha cause I don't know how to swim XD)
Emmy taught us how to float and swim like a STARFISH. It was truly AMAZINGGGG!!! At least now I know one way to enjoy the sea! :p
And a slow-mo video is a MUST!!! XD
The sea is almost like a magnet that we are so attached to it and refused to leave... :'(
Since the front desk told us that we might have chance to observe turtles (if we are lucky), we continued to stay at the beach after dinner.
Bromance walk (kekeke) |
Well, no turtle tonight, but star observation can be equally fun. So apparently, smartphones nowadays can capture stars!!! (a whole new world to meyy) A lecture conducted by Mr. Derick Soong. (LOL)
