Breakfast at Kenyir Eco Resort

Woke up to this view.

We had a good sleep last night and we managed to wake up early, get dressed before 8AM. Thanks to the great hospitality, Asian breakfast was served hot. Breakfast consists of fried meehoon, fried egg and sweet tea.

In order to catch the 10.30AM boat from Kuala Besut Jetty to Pulau Perhentian, we left Kenyir Eco Resort at around 8.30AM.

I know, it was a very short stay, but indeed we had experience great hospitality from the local people.

Hoping for the best that Tasik Kenyir will be popular again, just like before.

Kuala Besut Jetty

From Tasik Kenyir, it takes about 1 hour 30 minutes to reach Kuala Besut Jetty, where we are taking motor boat to Pulau Perhentian Resort.

Pulau Perhentian consists of 2 main islands: Pulau Perhentian Besar (Big Perhentian Island) and Pulau Perhentian Kecil (Small Perhentian Island).

Do inform the captain beforehand so he could drop you at the right jetty on island.

Conservation charges will be implied upon departure. The fee is collected to support the marine heritage program by Department of Marine Park Malaysia.

The fee is RM5/per person for Malaysian and RM30/per person for non-Malaysian.

The motor boat can fits around 15 adults per trip.

Do make sure your life jacket is in good condition and always put them on while on the boat!

The journey takes around 30 minutes to reach the first jetty on Pulau Perhentian.

The weather is fine. Sunny day. Blue sky, blue sea.

I pretty much enjoyed the ride. Can't wait to reach there!!!

As you can see, there are various hotels and resorts built along the beach. Particularly the ones in orange roof stand out!

You will also notice schools and mosque on the island. (below)

And finally, we reached Pulau Perhentian Resort!!!

According to the captain, it is one of the best resort on the island. Just amazing.

Honestly this is my first time seeing such beautiful beach and crystal clear sea in my life!!! I'm drunk with this view ♥ ♡ ♥

It was 12 noon when we arrived at the resort. We are given welcome drink upon check-in to freshen up a bit. Apparently it's too early as the rooms aren't ready, so we went to have in-house buffet lunch.

By the time we finished our lunch, our rooms are ready. Cool.

Superior Classic (Double Bed)

Emmy and I will be sharing room for the next 2 nights, while the boys are sharing another room beside us.

In fact, we booked this 3D2N package from HolidayGoGoGo.com for RM2,740 / 4 pax. Average RM685 / pax. This fee includes boat transfer (two-way), all meals (buffet) and 2 snorkeling sessions (2 hours per session).

Although it is not new, the room is comfortable and clean. We just had a little issue with the toilet due to the sewage management.

Besides that, it has what it has for a 3-star hotel. I.e. safe deposit, toiletries, towels, fridge, kettle, tea/coffee and hair-dryer (upon request).
