[Review] I-Mju - Hatomugi Skin Conditioning Gel (Beauty Serum)

In continuation to my previous product review on I-Mju's Hatomugi Skin Conditioner, today I will be covering another product on the same line, which is Hatomugi Skin Conditioning Gel.

*Side note. I intended to combine these two product reviews together, however the plan has changed once realizing it could ended up to be a super lengthy post. zzz*

Personally, I would like to call this Skin Conditioning Gel "the multi-watery cream" and I will explain to you soon. :D

Product highlights (according to I-mju):-

• Moisturizing, penetrates easily*
• High moisturizing effect without stickiness
• The gentle formulation lets you use as much as you want**

*Penetrates into stratum corneum, which is the outermost layer of the epidermis.

**Does not guarantee the prevention of comedones (pimples), which can develop into acne.

As expected, its product description is all written in Japanese. The only words I can understand from the packaging is "保湿", which is moisturizing in Chinese. You may check out its full ingredient list here in Skincarisma, if you are interested to know more.

Unlike previous item, the Hatomugi Skin Conditioner, this one the container itself is opaque (can't see-through).

To use, simply untwist the cap.

Not quite unexpected from the same product line, it has similar milky opaque color as Hatomugi Skin Conditioner, only the texture is different. Try shake the container and you will find the gel has bouncy-texture (if only you know what I mean ^^''').

Disclaimer: The spatula doesn't come with the product.

There are a few suggested ways of using Skin Conditioning Gel by SaSa:

1. As moisturizing serum;
2. As emulsion or cream;
3. As body lotion;
4. As moisturizing mask.

Due to its formulation, the gel itself doesn't easily absorbed into the skin. It will form a water-like wrapping layer on top of the skin.

Hence leading to my favourite go-to application, which is to apply it as a leave-on moisturizing mask, particularly to apply it before bath for the steaming effect. This trick is specifically for lazy people like meyy. Opss, I mean this trick is time-efficient (>///<). If you already got this product, do give it a try! :D

The gel-type texture glides smoothly on the skin with tiny bit cooling effect, no irritation, which I really enjoy.

Apply it generously on the skin and observe the gel quickly "melts" into a water-shield (as below). Because of the melting effect, it reminds me of watery cream.

Massage and gently tap for better absorption. You can feel instant moisture replenished after applying this gel.

Well, of course, you might need to figure out the right amount to put on, specifically in your morning routine, because you do want quick absorption in order to proceed with makeup.

Pros

• Multi-tasking moisturizer;
• Non-sticky;
• Mild, even for sensitive skin;
• Cooling effect;
• No strong and irritating fragrance;
• Cost-effective.

Cons

• Paraben detected in ingredient list.

Among the Hatomugi product line, preferably I would choose the gel over the toner because of its functionality. You can apply it as moisturizer all over your body, from face to legs.
