ONSAEMEEIN's Perfect Moisture Cream | 70 g |
Nobody introduce nor recommend this product to me. Merely I found it on Althea website and it caught my eyes. Looking at the growing numbers of customer reviews, I decided to purchase one and try it myself. (Quite adventurous, uh? LOL)
Besides, the price is relatively affordable for a try. This product is available at Althea for RM30.
Personally, I find their packaging cute. They keep it very simple. The container itself is made of glass, so it is quite heavy.
One of its selling points is that - moisture cream that delivers affluent moistness like a water bomb! Will reveal to you later whether it is true or not...
What makes this product different from others is because of one of its ingredient - Trehalose (5%). Trehalose occurs naturally in plants, fungi and invertebrate animals; for instance, small amounts in mushrooms, honey, lobsters, shrimps, certain seaweeds (algae), wine, beer, bread and other foods produced by using baker’s or brewer’s yeast.
In skin care products, Trehalose is used as a flavoring agent and moisturizer. This is because of its rehydrating, water-binding properties and also antioxidant powers.

"The sugar is thought to form a gel phase as cells dehydrate, which prevents disruption of internal cell organelles by effectively splinting them in position. Rehydration then allows normal cellular activity to be resumed without the major, lethal damage that would normally follow a dehydration/re-hydration cycle."
In simple, Trehalose is effective in maintaining skin moisture that would otherwise caused drying skin and potentially increasing ageing signs. Yes, dehydration is one of the causes of premature ageing!
As a flavoring agent, Trehalose is used in foods because of its mild sweet taste and its ability to suppress bitterness. As a food additive and preservative, it is recognised as safe to use by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Besides, it is widely approved in Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, EU, Australia and New Zealand.
Without further a due, let's try it on! ^^
The texture is more like a balm-type rather than creamy-type. The color is white and opaque.
I read reviews online saying that people do observe water-droplets formed on their skin once applied on the skin. And indeed it's true! I'm so amazed to see those tiny little water-droplets *~* (I should have apply more to see the bigger effect :s)
This Perfect Moisture Cream really delivers the moisture to the skin with less stickiness. For me, apply generously on the whole face and it could lasts for a whole day. (Disclaimer: That really depends on your skin type as well as the humidity.)
Though personally I don't really fancy balm-type cream, but I like this product for being such a mild product which is suitable for all skin type.
p/s: My dad has oily skin and my mum has dry skin; they all like the product so much so they finished the whole thing (heh) :p
