A night out with family. Also, as a farewell to my younger sister who is going back to university for new semester.
Why come to IMAGO Shopping Mall? Cause we thought of trying out the new stall which sells Penang Teochew Cendol.
But first, we need some solid food before desserts.
Why Upperstar? Food is delicious at reasonable price. Always our go-to local restaurant.
We decided to order 3 dishes and a soup, then share among ourselves. Typical Asian family style.
- Talapia Fish & Chips served with Mayonnaise - RM13.95 -
The fish is tender and savory. Portion a little smaller than we thought. Need extra careful of tiny fish bones. The fries were not crispy and hot when served.
- Pastry Baked Mushroom Soup - RM6.95 -
The mushroom soup is hot and creamy. The pastry's texture is absolutely on-point. Crispy and lots of layer. Pastry is slightly thinner than it used to be, not enough to feed the cravings.
- Lamb Chop with Mint Sauce - RM20.50 -
Lamb chop and mint sauce, voila, best combination. We even asked for extra mint sauce to go with the lamb. The portion they served was big enough. Just that there was a lot of fat in the lamb chop which we left them behind on the plate. Fries were hot and crispy when served.
- Upperstar's Sensation (Thin Crust) - RM16.50 -
It took quite some time for the pizza to be served. We almost finished other dishes at this time. Cheesy loaded and slightly spicy. Something lacking but I couldn't pin point. The crust was baked beautifully. Best for sharing.
Four hungry people left with fully loaded tummy. Dining at Upperstar never fails us.
After that, we went to 3rd floor to check out on the Penang Teochew Penang Cendol. To our big surprise, the restaurant was full house! The customers were lining up to the entrance. Absolutely crazy!! There and then, we decided to try their cendol next time instead, rather than wasting time queuing up.
