If I purchase more products than I finished within a month, potentially I would ended up with many products untouched at the end of the day, which we definitely gonna avoid that. 7 products in total, and I wish I could do better than this.

[Review] Medi Heally - Waist Warm Pack

Hello everyone! :)

Today I'm gonna share with you something different from usual.

It's not skincare nor makeup product. It's a waist warm pack.

Most girls should be able to relate to the functionality of this product. For me, I always suffer from waist pain during menstruation, which is caused by menstrual cramps. Feels like dying every month (duhh).

Then I came across this product on Althea (click here) whereby they labeled it as one of the editorial's pick of the season/trendy items.

During the past, I was told to use hot water bag to relief the menstrual cramps. It really helps. I believe they work in the same theory.

I bought it for RM13 from Althea website 2 months ago. Been using it for 2 months now.

From its packaging, it says the warm pack could lasts for a good 8 hours. Yes, it is what it claims. I put on one before going to work, and I can still feel a bit of its warmness after work.

Its fragrance is made up of lavender, rose, geranium, yiang yiang and fennel. Very pleasant and soothing.

There are 2 individual waist warm pack inside the box packaging.

First off, you need to peel off the stickers on the front and the back of the warm pack.

Attach the back (the adhesive side) of the warm pack onto your pants. Do not apply it directly on your skin as instructed on its product description.

In conclusion, I'm deeply in love with this product as it really helps to relief back pain caused by menstrual cramps. Highly recommend this waist warm pack to those whose suffer the same discomfort as I do.

#7 Simple 1-2-3 Routine: Morning Skincare Routine

Good morning peeps! Rise and shine.

What's up today? Hmm.. why not we get into the basics?

Question: Do you have a skincare routine?

There is a saying quoted from Helena Rubinstein, "There are no ugly women, only lazy ones."

Well, you might heard of "Korean 10-Step Skincare Routine". Personally I was intimidated by the long-listed skincare routine, which literally I gave up immediately.

Plus, it means you need to have at least 10 skincare products/items to fulfill the "ideal routine", which could be a huge expense for a beginner.

So today I'm gonna share with you the 3 must-have skincare products/items for your morning skincare routine - The simplest basic morning skincare routine that you could count on it. ;)

① Tone > ② Moisturize > ③ Sun protection

First thing first, I will skip foam cleansing in the morning. Why? One, usually my face won't be oily in the morning. Two, I only have foam cleanser and it often dries out my skin, which eventually I need to apply more moisturizer... Why all these hassle?

So I will wash my face with only H20; yes, just water.

Yeap, woke up with puffy face, that's me (heh). Hi peeps! :D

If you're wondering, why is my right hand side brighter? That's because there is a window (shouldn't be a hard guess :p).

Step ①, prepare to tone your skin.

Why tone your skin? One, to remove dirt or any other residue. Two, to prepare your skin to better absorb products you gonna apply later on.

I'm currently using Son & Park's Beauty Water as toner. Take some of the product with a cotton pad and swipe it all over your face.

Don't forget your neck and behind the ears!

Done. Fresh as if you just came out from bath. :)

Step ②, apply moisturizer.

It is very important to find the suitable moisturizer for your skin type. Cream type moisturizer for dry skin, and watery type moisturizer for oily skin. If you're not sure, try and error.

If you don't "feed moisture" to your skin, it will generate its own "moisture" by secreting sebum or oil that will eventually lead to many skin problems later.

I'm using Jill2's 7AM Energizing Morning Cream. This is by far my favourite watery-type moisturizing cream. (check out my full product review here)

Take an appropriate amount and apply it over your face.

Slightly massage as you apply it thoroughly all over your face and neck. Apply another layer if you noticed any dry spots.

Step ③, apply sunscreen.

This is ultimate important especially you're going out under the sun. Particularly UVA ray is the cause of premature aging.

Thinking of starting anti-aging routine when you reached 40s? Noooo, that would be too late!

Start now by applying sunscreen! How easy is that? Your skin will thank you later down the road.

I'm using Tony Moly's My Sunny All-In-One Sun SPF45 PA+++. Fyi sunscreens are by far my favourite go-to products from Tony Moly.

Apply sunscreen all over your face and neck.

For me, I will apply another layer on my freckles to give extra layer of sun protection.

Voila, that's it! We have completed the simple 1-2-3 morning skincare routine! (YAY)

Of course, this is just the baseline of a morning skincare routine. Just for your reference.

[Review] Nature Republic - Micro Slim Brow Pencil 03 Soft Brown

Hello everyone! :)

Today I'm gonna share with you an eyebrow pencil which has gained much love from Beauty YouTubers lately. Curiosity really eats me up whereby I bought one personally to try it on as I'm eager to know how good is the product.

Is it what it claims? Let's check it out.

I first heard of this brow product from SSIN where she mentioned she found a dupe for Anastasia's Brow Wiz (high-end brow pencil; click here). If it's what she claims to be, that's fantastic!

Well, I haven't purchase from Anastasia yet, but the brand is best known for making high quality slim eyebrow pencils, next off is Benefit. They easily cost above RM70+. Really pricy.

So how about Nature Republic's Micro Slim Brow Pencil? It's just KRW7,000. It costed me RM25.60 when I asked my friend to purchase for me at South Korea 3 months ago (exchange rate may varies by time).

I knowww... It feels like taking foreveerrrr for me to write a product review...zzz

In terms of price, well you could find cheaper brow products from other road shops, such as Etude House and Holika Holika. But it really depends on what type of brow products or quality you're after for. It's up to you.

When I got the product, I was reaaally amazed by its super slim packaging. The brow pencil lead is 1.5mm in diameter, as written on the packaging. Wow, it really delivers what it claims - the micro slim brow pencil!

See below for comparison with The Face Shop's Designing Eyebrow Pencil.

The advantage? Now we are able to draw a more defined brow shape as we wish with this micro slim pencil.

As you can see, a spoolie brush is found attached on the other end.



Let's get started! :)

First, start by lining the bottom edge of eyebrow using the brow pencil, from the front to the end.

Then proceed to outline the upper edge of eyebrow, to give a more defined look/shape.

 

Next, proceed to fill in the brows, preferably in strokes, to give a more natural filling.

After filling the brow, use the spoolie brush to brush over the eyebrows according to its natural direction, to blend out harsh lines and brow color.

Repeat whichever step(s) until you're satisfied with the outcome.

Voila, #03 Soft Brown indeed goes well with black hair! What do you think? :D

I would say, its formula is just nice, not too creamy nor too pigmented. Love the color. Oh, make sure to close the lid tightly after using otherwise the formula would dried up quickly.

As I have large brow gaps, so it could be quite hassle to fill up my brows using this micro slim eyebrow pencil. It feels like taking foreveerrr (heh). Overall, I enjoyed using this product, especially in order to achieve natural brow/casual look.

My friend, Belinda, agreed to teach me do calligraphy art. I'm so excited! We decided to meet at a cafe and do calligraphy.

She suggested Relax Coffee Cafe. As it is way off where I live, I didn't get the chance to visit the cafe, until tonight.

By the time we reached there, it is almost 8:30PM. Is it because of Friday night, it seemed it's almost full house!

We went up straight to the second floor. It is a 2-storey building. They have order counters at both upstairs and downstairs, so you don't need to go up-and-down to place order.

I'm really impressed by its interior design, and how warmth and cozy to be inside the cafe.

We planned to order hot commando latte (their non-coffee signature) and a slice of Durian crepe cake. To our surprise, they were having "buy 1 free 1 commando latte" promotion at that time. Look who's feeling lucky tonight!

As far as I know, commando latte is green tea latte with choco drip? Correct me if I'm wrong :) Really not an expert in this field.

We quickly settled down on a 2-seater table at the corner, and started with the calligraphy drawing tutorial.

During the process, Belinda then explained how she get started with calligraphy drawing and how it helps her to unwire stuffs inside her head. We've known each other since secondary school. No doubt I must agree, she is best known for her creativity and artistry talent, which I admire so much.

We, or at least I, enjoyed our date tonight. Just two old friends, spending quality time together.

Also, I'm thankful that she recommended this cafe because I really love it. Hope to drop by some other time soon.
