Penang 6D5N Year-End Trip 槟城年尾之旅

We went back to hotel after visiting Penang State Museum. Then we decided to drive over Penang Bridge to the mainland and stay there for the rest of the day. I was disappointed to find there aren't much attractions at Penang Mainland while I was researching online. However, there is one place which my friend recommended us, and I am going to share with you in a moment.
Penang Bridge 槟威大桥
I remember we did cross Penang Bridge on our last time visit to Penang. That was many years ago. I thought the journey will cost us more than an hour, but the fact is within 30 minutes, we already reached the mainland. We purposely avoid rush hour traffic, so we left at around 4PM.
Many people might not feel it while using it everyday to work, but the fact is Penang Bridge is absolutely a marvelous architecture - it connects the mainland and the island - created such a convenient for people from both lands.
Let us just sit back and enjoy the view!
Juru Auto-City

Literally by words, Juru Auto-City, is a place with concentrated automobile showrooms. On top of that, it is also the "hang-out hotspot", especially among youngsters on mainland Penang.
I am not a big fan of four-wheels, but according to online research, car brands you can find here are as follow: Audi, BMW, Chevrolet, Citroën, Daihatsu, Ferrari, Fiat, Ford, Hino, Honda, Hyundai, Isuzu, Kia, Lotus, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Naza, Nissan, Perodua, Porsche, Proton, Renault and Skoda.
If you are here to have food pleasure, you come to the right place. There is a long line of restaurants, fast-food outlet, and 24-hour nasi kandar chain stalls available here. To name a few, Ice Ice Baby, Isshin Japanese Restaurant, KFC, Nando's, Old Town, Pizza Hut, Seoul Garden, Subway, Sushi King, Swensen's, Manhattan Fish Market and more.
Coincidentally, PONY Tale, a newly opened restaurant, just happened to have their grand opening today (21st December 2016). From the outlook, it is such a fairy tale design, but I have no idea what they have on the menu. We just walk-passed.
Apart from these 2-storey buildings, there is an area which more like a night-circus (but it is not in fact) where you can find more shops and food stalls. There is a Go-Kart Racing Field located nearby. There aren't many people at this hour, but I can tell why people like to come to Auto-City. This place is so concentrated, unlike other parts of Perai.
Yi Xiang Bak Kut Teh 益香绑线肉骨茶
As dad always wanted to have Chinese meal, here we are. I think this is the only Chinese restaurant we could find in Auto-City. Certainly we have no idea what is "string-tied" bak kut teh means (as it said on its signboard), but by just thinking of bak kut teh, it will make us start drooling.
It's just 5:30PM. There aren't much people inside the restaurant, most probably because we are too early for dinner. We are always hungry while travelling. Of course, their specialty is bak kut teh, in terms of mains, you just have to choose the kind of meat to cook with.

- Stir-fried sprouts 炒芽菜
- 猪腰 & 三层肉
Overall, it tastes good, but slightly sweeter than the bak kut teh we used to have back at Kota Kinabalu. The total bill costs about RM84, which we ordered 3 drinks as well. I think it is slightly overpriced based on the portion.
Maybe I am biased, but please do try bak kut teh when you come to Kota Kinabalu. I think it tastes better. Hahaha
