It's not just a normal Saturdays which we used to have.
Do you have those days when you crave for cakes? I do, although not consider myself to have sweet tooth. It's just eating cakes itself is an enjoyable thing to do. And some may prefer chocolate for instance.
We went to a shopping mall downtown, grabbed two slices of cakes, and we went to cinema, thinking of redeeming the free tickets which dad got for us. We were having hard times in choosing whether to go for <Moana> or <SING>.
It was 15 past 9. Mum is exceptionally energetic at this hour. and she even suggested us to pick one which we could watch right now, instead of coming back on another day. So that's the key to the decision. <Moana> is showing at 9:20PM.
Understand that we don't usually go with unplanned event, this whole movie decision seemed to be quite overwhelming and untrue in what sense. Anyway. That's how it happened.
So, the movie <Moana>. Personally I don't quite fancy animated movies nowadays, but this movie was an exception. Fun, interesting and good-vibe, that was my first impression while watching its trailer.
From the first look, it gave me somewhat a flashback on <Stitch>. Less assured, its very different from one another.
Not interested to be a spoiler, I will just quickly introduce to you a few characters from the movie whom I personally love..
First of all, you really cannot resist on loving the cuteness of Pua, Moana's pet pig. In what sense, it resembles much of a pet dog rather than what it is in reality (this might sound ridiculous, I know). Unfortunately, it doesn't have much screen time as you think it would have.
Moana's second pet is a rooster, Heihei. You might not fall for it at first, but its adorable dumbness often leads to the funniest moments throughout the whole movie. I don't think I would like to have a pet rooster like that, but seriously you just have to watch the movie to get chocked by its ridiculousness.
Third coming up on the list might be unexpected. Its the a giant treasure-hoarding coconut crab from Lalotai, the Realm of Monsters, which is located not just under the sea, but beneath it. What I like about it is the idea of him being like to coat himself with all kinds of random shiny stuffs and enjoys his life like being a popstar under the sea. The guy is totally fine living by himself alone.
The forth is Moana's grandma, Tala. Well she is much a stubborn person whom doesn't care if most of the village people see her as "crazy woman", the one whom doesn't get along. She is determined in what she wants to deliver, yet she doesn't force others to agree with her. She is like the inner voice which we have deep inside us, yet doesn't show up if we don't let it.
And of course, Moana is quite a lovable girl. She is young and unsure of what she want to become. With a little encouragement and affirmation, she can be the brightest star in the sky. Somehow I believe she resembles everyone of us; there is a calling for each one of us, maybe its just waiting for the right timing to show itself.
So yeah. I had a great time watching the movie, and hope you do as well.
Additionally, check out its soundtrack (it's awesome!) : http://www.joox.com/common_redirect.html?page=album&id=1700283&lang=en&backend_country=my&title=Moana (#JOOX)
'Til the next time! ^_^
