September 10, 2016 (Saturday)
You wouldn't miss to try out the traditional Korean costume, do you?
It's always fun to take selfies while wearing these costumes.
I did mentioned about renting hanbok when visiting Gyeongbokgung.
Though we didn't manage to rent it there, by looking at their design, I suppose it is above KRW10,000 per person. And they might impose a time limit for such rental.
However, Cong Min has found a place where we can rental hanbok for a cheaper price.
Why not? :D
인사동홍보관 Insadong Information Center 仁寺洞宣傳館 |
**how to get to this location : take metro/subway to Anguk (328), Exit 6**
Address : 서울특별시 종로구 인사동11길 19 (견지동)
Tel : 02-737-7890~1
Operating Hours : 09:30~18:30 (Mon-Fri); 10:00~18:00 (Sat-Sun)
Unlike other tourist attractions, this place is relatively peaceful and quiet.
As expected, we are the only tourists when we arrived.
The front desk lady asked us a few questions for registration purpose (i.e. where you come from).
I forgot whether she asked for our passports for verification. Never mind.
By the way, it's just KRW3,000 per person for 20 mins (less than RM12!!).
I told our host about it (he is a local btw), and he said that's really cheap for hanbok rental.
By looking at the variety of hanbok, I think it's quite a good deal :D
Let's try it on! Shall we?
behind the scenes......... hehe ^^
Off to the next stop.
It's just 5 mins walk from Insadong Information Center to Insadong Traditional Street.
It is famous for selling traditional crafts. If you are thinking to buy local souvenirs
for friends and family back home, this should be a good spot.
There is this corner shop which sells kinds of women's bag. It's just right opposite GS25.
(should have take photo for this @@)
Everything bag sells only for KRW10,000!!!
And the quality is definitely better than those we find at the night markets back at home.
We got so excited and together we bought 4 from the stores :p
Yes, if you have a keen eye, you should be able to notice something odd from the above photo.
Actually we went to Insadong twice just because I left something behind. So we went back and that's when we took the photo :)
